The bar on the second floor — beer, long drinks, coffee classic selection

The bar at the brothel Neu-Ulm has a classic, deliberately narrow selection: bottled beer — pilsner and wheat —, long drinks and coffee. That is all. No cocktails, no draught beer, no mixology menus. By design, not by lack.

What the bar serves:
• Bottled beer (pils, wheat).
• Longdrinks (standard mixes).
• Coffee — espresso, kept simple.
• Water, soft drinks.

What we do not have:
• No draught beer.
• No cocktail menu.
• No champagne flat-rate, no animation sekt.

Why? Because our bar is not meant to compete with cocktail bars in Ulm or Augsburg. We are not an evening drinks destination but a bar inside a brothel. It is the meeting point on the second floor where guests arrive, get oriented briefly, greet a lady or pick up a glass. Clearly defined role, clearly defined range.

Bottled beer arrives sealed from delivery and is served chilled. Long drinks are the usual classics — whisky cola, gin tonic, vodka soda and similar. Coffee is brewed from freshly ground beans. A choice across three categories — nothing more is needed at the Eros Salon Neu-Ulm.

The bar is at the same time the only "lounge" the house has. There is no separate lounge area. The bar is the room you stay in when you are not in a room. The advantage is that guests find their way quickly and the house stays easy to read.

Anyone choosing a drink without alcohol has options too: water, mineral water, alcohol-free lemonades, alcohol-free bottled beer, coffee in several variants. Nobody has to order alcohol, nobody is pushed to. Part of what we take for granted at the bar. The ladies coming to the bar between shifts often take exactly that: an espresso, a mineral water. A clear head is in good company.

On especially quiet evenings, sometimes only two or three guests sit at the bar. Then you hear the music playing softly in the background — usually jazz or older classics, nothing pushy. Anyone who likes that comes deliberately for such hours. Anyone wanting a livelier backdrop comes at weekends. The bar is both — and can be both because it does not try to be something it is not.
