ProstSchG — what legal certainty means for everyone the framework we work in
Since its opening in 2019, the brothel Neu-Ulm has operated exclusively within the framework of the Prostitution Protection Act (ProstSchG). The law, which entered into force in 2017, regulates how prostitution businesses in Germany may be run — and so creates legal certainty for the ladies, the guests and the operators.

The essentials in brief: every lady working at the Eros Salon Neu-Ulm is registered with the relevant public health office and the competent authority, holds a registration certificate ("Hurenpass") and takes part in regular health counselling. She is at least 21 years old. That is the law; we check it on move-in — no certificate, no room.
For the house: an official permit as a prostitution venue is required, regular inspections are possible, hygiene and safety standards are defined. Emergency buttons in every room, video surveillance in corridors and at entrance areas, lockable common rooms for the ladies — all this is mandatory and standard with us.
For guests it means above all: minimum age 18, ID requirement, no drugs, no coercion. Anyone taking the ProstSchG seriously protects everyone with it. We therefore do not apply it grudgingly but as a matter of principle. It makes the house calmer, clearer and better for everyone.

In practice the ProstSchG means for us: regular audits by the responsible authority, annual inspection of the premises, documented cleaning and hygiene protocols, trained staff.
