At the Golden Eros on Zeppelinstraße 26 in Neu-Ulm there is no hard-sell culture. If you want nothing more than a cold Pils or wheat beer from the bottle in the afternoon or evening, you can have it—without anyone insisting you book company. The bar on the second floor is open to anyone who needs a break during the twelve hours from 12:00 to 03:00. The self-employed women sit in their rooms and decide for themselves whether and when to start a conversation. If a guest only comes to the counter, we serve him just like in any other pub: hand over the drink, give back the change, nothing more. Neither the owner Anna-Luisa Kas nor the women on duty see this as unusual. Many regulars take the chance to drop in after work on the nearby A7 or at Neu-Ulm HBF for a coffee or long drink and then leave again. This attitude is part of the house etiquette.
