Minimum age 18 — ID check under ProstSchG, no storage no exceptions

The brothel Neu-Ulm enforces a minimum age of 18, no exceptions. That is not our house policy but German federal law. The Prostitution Protection Act (ProstSchG) provides that persons under 18 may neither be guests nor work in a prostitution business.

• ID card or passport at the entrance.
• Visual check — no storage, no copy.
• Date of birth: must show 18+.
• Validity: document must not be expired.
• Driving licence: not sufficient (not an official photo ID under § 5 ProstSchG).

That is why we check IDs. On entry, every guest presents a valid photo ID — national ID card, passport or electronic residence permit. We do not keep it, do not store it, do not scan it. A brief glance is enough. It is mandatory, and it is quick.

Why explain this in such detail? Because some guests assume that things are looser at an Eros Salon Neu-Ulm than elsewhere. The opposite is true: precisely because our trade is heavily regulated, we stick scrupulously to the rules. That protects us, protects the ladies, protects the guests.

Important: even those who obviously look older show their ID. Nobody is waved through because of a beard or grey hair. It applies to everyone, no exceptions. Anyone arriving without ID returns to get one — or comes another time.

The same applies to the ladies: anyone working here is at least 21 years old (ProstSchG requirement), holds a valid registration certificate, and is verifiably registered with the public health office. Anyone without these does not work here.

An overseas passport is checked just like a German national ID — what matters is that the photo matches and the date of birth is clear. In doubt, a second document may be requested. The procedure takes seconds and provides an additional safety net for our ladies too: they can rely on the bar’s check. Nobody under 18 gets past — and that is the point of the rule.

Anyone worried that something might slip through unchecked: it does not here. Bar staff is trained for this check, every guest is treated alike, and in doubt they look more carefully. The same for German and foreign IDs. Anyone wanting to bring along a guest with questionable papers should know — they will not be admitted. That consistency is part of what makes the house reputable.
